Working with PCD Objects
Use
The PCD provides low-level classes and interfaces in order to access the PCD, and to perform such tasks as creating contexts and attributes, changing permissions and deleting objects.

Whenever possible, developers should use the higher-level interfaces (semantic and administration objects), as described in Working with Semantic Objects and Working with Administration Objects .
