Use

After deploying a resolving service to the portal, you can check whether the service is properly registered and started and whether the aliases to be resolved by this service are properly registered.

Checking a Resolving Service

To check that a service is registered and started, navigate to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator Start & Stop: Java EE Applications page as follows:

Start of the navigation path NWA Next navigation step Operation Management Next navigation step  Systems Next navigation step  Start & Stop Next navigation step  Java EE Applications End of the navigation path.

Find your service in the Application List , and check whether it is started. If not, click Start to start the service.

Checking Registered Aliases

To check that an alias is registered to be resolved by a resolving service, navigate to the Portal Registry Browser: http(s)://<host>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.system.console.PortalRegistryBrowser

In the registry browser, navigate to /ROOT/runtime/alias.mappers. The browser shows the aliases that are registered for dynamic system resolution. For each alias, the fully qualified name of the service (that is, the name of the service preceded by the name of its EAR) is displayed.
