Deleting LogsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can delete one or more eCATT logs, either manually or automatically. Logs are deleted automatically in a background process when their expiry date is reached.

For more information, see Archive Administration (transaction SARA). The relevant object name is ECATT_LOG.

Procedure

Deleting Logs Manually

  1. On the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool: Initial Screen, choose Log .

    The eCATT Log Selection screen appears.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute .

    A list of all logs that satisfy the selection criteria is displayed.

  3. Select the rows containing the logs that you want to delete.

  4. Choose Delete .

Deleting Logs Automatically

If the corresponding delete job is scheduled in transaction SARA (object name ECATT_LOG), the logs are automatically deleted 14 days after the start date. You can change this expiry date as follows:

  1. On the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool: Initial Screen, choose Log .

    The eCATT Log Selection screen appears.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute .

    A list of all logs that satisfy the selection criteria is displayed.

  3. Select the rows containing the logs that you want to delete.

  4. Choose Change Expiry Date .

    A dialog box appears.

  5. In the Expiry Date field, enter the expiry date.

  6. Choose Continue .
