Adjusting the Windows Performance SettingsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

For better system performance and memory usage, you need to adjust the system settings as described below.

Procedure

Windows Server 2008 (R2)

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Start Next navigation step Control Panel Next navigation step System Next navigation step Advanced system settings End of the navigation path.

  2. In the System Properties screen, choose the Advanced tab.

  3. For Performance , choose Settings... .

  4. In the Performance Options window, choose the Advanced tab.

  5. For Processor scheduling: Adjust for best performance of , select Background services .

  6. If required, change the Virtual memory (paging file size):

    Choose Change and for Custom size set the Initial size and Maximum size to the relevant value.

    For more information about the paging file size, see the installation guide for your SAP product.

  7. Confirm your entries with OK .
