Configuring Levels of Top-Level NavigationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You configure the levels of top-level navigation by setting a property in the Ajax Framework Page .

Procedure
  1. In the Portal Catalog, choose Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Portal Users Next navigation step Standard Portal Users Next navigation step Ajax Framework Content End of the navigation path.

    This folder contains the Ajax Framework Page .

  2. In the context menu of the Ajax Framework Page , choose Start of the navigation path Open Next navigation step Properties End of the navigation path.

  3. Choose All to display all of the properties of the framework page.

  4. Choose Modify Properties to activate the editor.

  5. In the Properties editor, from the Show Category dropdown list, select the Navigation property category.

  6. In the Number of Display Levels property, select the value 1 or 2 , depending on how many navigation levels you want for top-level navigation. Levels following this number continue in the Detailed Navigation iView.

  7. Save your changes.

Removing Top-Level Navigation

In the Classic Framework Page and the Light Framework Page , choosing 0 in the Number of Display Levels property mentioned above, removes top-level navigation and displays the entire navigation structure in the Detailed Navigation iView.

In the Ajax Framework Page , to remove top-level navigation, do the following:

  1. Open the Ajax Framework Page , as described above.

  2. In the row containing the Ajax Top-Level Navigation iView, deselect the Visible checkbox, or remove it entirely from the framework page.

  3. Choose Save .

  4. Select the Ajax Detailed Navigation iView and choose Open .

  5. Choose All to display all of the properties of this iView.

  6. Choose Modify Properties to activate the editor.

  7. In the Properties editor, locate the Start at Level property and change the value to 0 .

  8. Save your changes.
