Restoring the System StateLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Whenever you change the configuration data of a track, you then have to restore the system state of the individual systems in the Transport Studio. This means that you must import all imported software components into the Development and Consolidation systems once again.

You only need to restore the system state for the Test and Production systems if you have modified the data of the runtime systems.

Prerequisites

You have changed the configuration of the software components in the track in the Landscape Configurator and have returned to the Transport Studio.

Procedure

To restore the system state, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the tab page of the system that you want to restore.

  2. Choose Restore System State . The Restore System State dialog box appears. You see a list of all software components that have been imported into the system.

    Note

When you create software component archives (assembly), the Change Management Service (CMS) enters the software components developed in the track in the system status of the consolidation system. Since the Restore System State function uses this information, these software components are also placed in the import queue. This means that the content of the list for a Restore System State can differ between the development system and consolidation system.

  3. To place these software components in the import queue again, choose Add to Import Queue . The Restore System State dialog box appears. The following options are available here:

    • Restore : The Restore function allows you to put the displayed software components back into the import queue so that they can be re-imported manually at a later time.

    • Reimport : The Reimport function allows you to re-import the displayed software components immediately.

Result

Once you have re-imported the software components, the system state is restored.
