Set Change Document FlagLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

Check whether the change document flag is set in the data element in the Dictionary for the fields whose changes are to be logged. This is necessary so that the object-specific function modules can recognize which fields of the specified object in to put in the change document, during logging.

If the flag is not set, you can set it afterwards. The flag is effective after activation.

Caution

Setting the flag afterwards can have unwanted effects: If a table field in an other application, with this data element, belongs to a change document object, but was not previously logged, setting the flag starts logging in this application as well. So you should consider, when you create data elements, whether they are, or could be, change-document-relevant, and if so, to set the flag. If the data element is not in any change document object via a table field, this has no negative affects on the system.
