Defining the Integrated ConfigurationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

With the integrated configuration you specify the configuration settings in which the message from the Advanced Adapter Engine are to be processed.

In this case you can specify all configuration settings simply in one single object.

Note

This object then replaces the “classic” configuration objects that you need to configure scenarios where the Integration Engine is used as the runtime environment. (Sender agreements, receiver determinations, interface determinations and receiver agreements).

Procedure

1. Specifying Integrated Configuration

To specify an Integrated Configuration, first specify a sender. Specification of a receiver is optional. Follow these steps.

  1. Create an integrated configuration.

To do this, perform the following steps:

    1. Call the Integration Builder.

    2. Choose New .

    3. Choose Start of the navigation path Communication Agreement Next navigation step Integrated Configuration End of the navigation path in the create dialog.

    4. Specify the communication party (optional), the communication components and the interface for the sender.

    5. Optional: Specify the communication party and communication component for the receiver. Select Sender Uses Virtual Receiver to show these required fields.

      Note

This option is recommended for configuring business-to-business (B2B) scenarios.

    6. You can optionally specify a description and assign the overall configuration to a configuration scenario.

    7. Choose Create .

The editor is opened for the integrated configuration.

  2. Define the inbound processing of the message.

For more information, see: Defining Inbound Processing

  3. Define the receiver and routing conditions.

Here you can also specify multiple receivers and conditions under which the message is to be forwarded to the specified receiver.

For more information, see: Defining Receiver and Routing Conditions

  4. Specify mappings for the defined receiver inbound interfaces and specified cases.

For more information, see: Specifying Inbound Interfaces and Mappings

  5. Define the outbound processing of the message.

For more information, see: Defining Outbound Processing

  6. Specify the authorized service user.

If you want to restrict the access to the runtime to particular service users for a sender communication component, you can refine these restrictions with respect to the outbound interface. Assign the authorized users to the Integrated Configuration that contains the communication component and the interface in the object key. Choose the Assigned User tab page.

For more information, see: Defining Sender Agreements

  7. Save and activate the integrated configuration.
