Use

In this section you will find a summary of the tasks and configuration objects that are required when you want to configure communication using the Advanced Adapter Engine (AAE) (either local message exchange using the AAE when using an SAP NetWeaver PI installation, or using the Advanced Adapter Engine Extended). The graphic shows a simple system landscape (one sender, two receiver systems). The phases of message processing (for example, inbound processing) are highlighted as yellow text, and the corresponding configuration objects that are required for the configuration are highlighted as blue text.

The objects required to execute the current configuration tasks are listed in the following table.

Defining a collaboration profile

In the collaboration profile you specify which components communicate with each other and what their technical communication capabilities are.

Communication party (party for short)

Communication component

Communication channel

Defining the integrated configuration

In the integrated configuration you specify the complete configuration of message processing using the Advanced Adapter Engine.

Thereafter you only need one single object, whereas you need multiple configuration objects (sender agreement, receiver determination, interface determination, receiver agreement) for configuring communication with the Integration Server.
