In this section you get a summary of the configuration tasks and objects required for Integration Engine-based communication. The graphic shows a simple system landscape (one sender, two receiver systems). The phases of message processing (for example, inbound processing) are highlighted as yellow text, and the corresponding configuration objects that are required for the configuration are highlighted as blue text.
The objects required to execute the current configuration tasks are listed in the following table.
Tasks |
Relevant Objects |
---|---|
Defining a collaboration profile In the collaboration profile you specify which components communicate with each other and what their technical communication capabilities are. |
Communication party (party for short) Communication component Communication channel |
Configuring inbound processing Here you enter for a specific sender/receiver pair which sender adapter (or channel) is to be used for the inbound processing of a message. In addition, you can specify security settings. |
Sender agreement |
Defining routing In routing specify which receiver messages are to be sent to. In a receiver determination you specify the receiver components (for example, business systems) for a message. You can configure the forwarding of a message to the receiver depending on the application data in the message. In an interface determination you specify to which inbound interfaces of a receiver a message is to be forwarded. If necessary, you can also specify here which mapping is to be executed. |
Receiver determination Interface determination Receiver rule |
Configuring outbound processing Here you enter for a specific sender/receiver pair which receiver adapter (or channel) is to be used for the outbound processing of a message. In addition, you can specify security settings. |
Receiver agreement |
