Prerequisites

You have accessed the tool for managing background jobs. For more information, see Performing Background Processing .

Procedure

Creating Background Jobs

  1. Choose Create Job .

  2. Enter the name, type, start date and time, and the frequency when the job should be started.

  3. Choose whether the job should active or not.

  4. Choose Create .

Note

After creating a job you should define rules for it. For more information, see Defining Rules .

Managing Background Jobs

You can select a job and do the following:

  • Choose Edit or Delete to change the job details or to delete the job.

    Note

    You cannot delete the standard delete jobs; you can only deactivate them.

  • If you want to execute a job straight away irrespective of its next scheduled execution, choose Execute Now .

  • If you want to display information for the execution of a job, select it and then choose the Log tab. The job log gives you the following information:

    • Date and time of the last scheduled execution of the job.

    • Number of messages processed when the last job was run.

    • Total number of jobs run.

    • Total number of messages processed to date by this job.
