Security Configuration at Message LevelLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The configuration of security at message level differs depending on the used protocol and communication partner.

To enable message-level security within the Advanced Adapter Engine, you need to verify that the appropriate JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy file has been downloaded from java.sun.com and applied to your Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

In addition, you need to do the following for the RNIF and CIDX adapters:

  • To the adapter framework service user, you must assign the Keystore Administrator role for all views in the key storage that are referenced in sender and receiver agreements for RosettaNet or CIDX trading partners. You have to do this in all involved Advanced Adapter Engines.

To enable message-level security within the Integration Server (using the XI protocol), the configuration includes the following:

  • Configuration of Web service security in AS ABAP

  • Configuration of Web service security in AS Java

  • Verification of the Web service security configuration
