Description

SAP NetWeaver Application Server system with Adobe Document Services (ADS)

Note that in interactive and print scenarios (for which the properties templateSource and dataSource are filled), Adobe Document Services must be available so that the form can be generated.

Various test programs are available to test the settings and connection to Adobe Document Services. The procedure is described in SAP Note 999998 Information published on SAP site.

SAP GUI Release 6.40 Support Package Level 20 or higher

Adobe LiveCycle Designer

Versions 8.0 and higher are supported.

Adobe Reader on the Client (Browser)

Readers as of Version 7.0.9 are supported.

Recommendation

We recommend that you use the latest version provided by Adobe.

If you are using Chrome or Firefox, note the following:
  • Firefox:

    Make sure that the Adobe Reader plug-in is installed, and Adobe Reader is used as the default PDF viewer.

  • Chrome:

    Make sure that the Adobe Reader plug-in is installed and activated.

    To deactivate the Chrome PDF viewer, enter chrome://plugins in the address field. Choose Deactivate for the Chrome PDF Viewer plug-in, and Activate for the Adobe Reader plug-in.

Language Settings

To be able to display the form in the language you require, you have to specify a combination of language and country (locale) as well as ensure that the necessary translations are available.

The logon language of the system is used as the language.

You can specify the country in your user profile (transaction SU52) on tab page Parameters. Enter UCN as the Parameter ID and enter the short code of the required country as the Parameter Value (use the notation in the second column of table T005). Then save your entries.

Note

If no locale is maintained in the system, Adobe Document Services uses the relevant default value.
