The figure below shows you where the landscape administration area is located in the TREX admin tool (standalone):
The following table provides an overview of the windows and functions that are available in this area.
Window |
Description |
Summary |
This tab page provides an overview of the TREX status with information on the TREX version, operating system, and current error messages. The Status Details window area displays current alert messages. |
Landscape: Alert |
Used to monitor TREX. Checks are performed periodically and in the event of errors, the system administrator is informed by e-mail. For more information, see TREX Alert Server. |
Landscape: Configuration |

Landscape: Reorg |
This tab page enables the reorganization of the indexes in a TREX landscape. More information: Reorganization of the TREX Landscape. |
Landscape: Tree |
Depicts the content of the topology.ini configuration file as a tree structure. The configuration file is managed by the name server. It contains technical information about the TREX servers, indexes, and queues. Caution
Only make changes here if those changes are specified in the TREX documentation. |
Landscape: Ini |
Displays the TREX configuration files. You can display the content of the configuration files and change it if necessary. Caution
Changing configuration files directly requires expert knowledge of the TREX architecture and TREX-internal processes. Only make direct changes to the configuration files if those changes are described in the TREX documentation. |
Landscape: Hosts |
Displays information on the TREX hosts. It shows the installation directory, the operating system platform, and the installed TREX release. |
Landscape: Services |

Landscape: Trace |
Displays the trace files of the TREX servers. By default, the trace files contain all error messages that the TREX servers output. You can display the content of a trace file by double-clicking it and delete trace files that you no longer need. The Trace Levels function allows you to display the trace levels for the TREX servers and add new trace components if necessary. In addition, you can specify whether or not and in which format the system is to output trace files. |
Landscape: Perf. Trace |
You can create and save performance traces here. |
