Classifying a ServiceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use the classification function to categorize services and find them quickly. You can classify a service using transaction WSCLASS, or with file import.

Procedure

Classifying a Service Manually

  1. Call transaction WSCLASS.

  2. Choose Manually .

  3. Select a service definition. If you choose more than one service, these services are classified with the same values.

  4. Choose Create .

  5. Choose the name of the services registry that you previously specified in transaction WSPARAM.

  6. Using the input help in the first column, choose one of the available classification systems.

  7. Using the input help, choose the classification code in the second column. If the service definition is assigned to multiple classes, enter the corresponding value in the following rows.

  8. Choose Save .

    Note

    If you display the service definition in the Object Navigator and select the Classification tab, the service definition classification details appear.

Classifying a Service by File Import

  1. Call transaction WSCLASS.

  2. Choose Import .

  3. Enter the name of the file to be imported. The file to be imported must be a list separated by TAB characters with the following columns:

    Service Interface Name

    Service Interface Namespace

    TModel Key of the Classification System

    Classification (for example: uddi:uddi.sap.com:categorization:deployment-unit )

    Description of Classification

  4. Select the name of the registry with which the classification system is to be validated.

  5. Choose Execute .
