
Related objects are objects with a technical reference to another object, such as all of the Screen Painter, interface, and report texts for the program SAPLABC , or the long texts that explain the function of data element XYZ . You can call up mutually related objects in your worklist .
You can take related objects into account when you call up your worklist , or you can display and then reserve related objects for a specific object in your existing worklist.
You can use the function for calling up related objects in the following situations:
The translation of related objects has top priority, such as when the translations are needed for demonstration purposes.
You want to check and, if necessary, improve the consistency of translations that are displayed together on the same screen.
To take related objects into account when calling up a worklist, set the corresponding parameter on the Standard Worklist tab page of the Get Worklist screen. For more information on how to set parameters before calling up a worklist, see Calling Up Worklists and refer to the section "Procedure.
Select the collection that contains the related objects.
You can use the Object Name field to enter the name of the object, or the parts of the object name separated by * .
Make sure that the number in the Number per Object Type field is high enough.
Select the Related Objects checkbox.
Choose Reserve Objects .
If you want to display related objects for a specific object in your worklist, and then include them in your worklist, proceed as follows:
In the worklist screen, perform a right mouse click on the object for which you want to call up related objects, and choose Related Objects .
This takes you to a dialog box that lists all of the objects in the system with a technical reference to the object you originally selected.
By double-clicking an object, you can call it up in the appropriate editor and then edit it. If you want one of the objects that the system has found to be included in your worklist, perform a right mouse click on the object and choose Reserve Related Objects . If you want to do this for several objects, perform a right mouse click on the superordinate node and choose Reserve Related Objects .
The system reserves the related objects in your worklist, providing that they have been defined for translation into your target language, they belong to collections that are assigned to you for translation, and they are not reserved already in another translator's worklist.
