Worklist Settings

To determine your worklist settings, access the initial screen of transaction SE63 and choose  Utilities  Settings  Worklist . The standard settings are our recommended settings.

The settings in the Display group box enable you to determine how objects are displayed in your worklist:

• WL initially sorted by

  This setting enables you to determine how objects are sorted in your worklist when you call it up. This setting only takes effect when you call up a new worklist. If you call up an existing worklist, the sort parameter that you set in the worklist itself takes effect. The default setting is Collection, object name, object type .

  The structure of a worklist that is sorted by collections, and the structure of a worklist that is sorted by object groups, are explained in the document Worklists in the section "Structure of a Worklist.

• Display collection description (else collection name)

  This setting is only relevant if you display your worklist sorted by collections. You can decide whether the system displays the description of the collection, or the name of the collection, as the title of the collection node. This checkbox is selected in the standard setting.

• Display object description (else object name)

  This setting is only relevant if you call up a worklist for non-ABAP objects. You can determine whether the system displays the 32-character object ID, or the name of the objects. This checkbox is selected in the standard setting.

• Immediately expand object types with single object

  This setting enables you to determine that object type nodes are expanded automatically if they only have one object assigned to them. This checkbox is selected in the standard setting.

The settings in the Workflow group box enable you to determine how you call up objects in your worklist.

• Call objects with new texts sequentially

  Select this checkbox to use sequential processing for objects that contain at least one unit with the translation status new.

  For more information on the translation status of objects in your worklist, see Translation Status .

  If you do not select this checkbox, the system skips objects that only contain new units during sequential processing. You can still access these objects for translation by double-clicking them in your worklist.

  This checkbox is selected in the standard setting.

• Call objects with modified texts sequentially

  Select this checkbox to use sequential processing for objects that contain at least one unit with the translation status modified.

  If you do not select this checkbox, the system skips objects that only contain modified units during sequential processing. You can still access these objects for translation by double-clicking them in your worklist.

  This checkbox is selected in the standard setting.

• Call objects with matched texts sequentially

  Select this checkbox to use sequential processing for objects that are already 100% translated.

  If you do not select this checkbox, the system skips translated objects during sequential processing. You can still access these objects for translation by double-clicking them in your worklist.

  This checkbox is not selected in the standard setting.

• Maximum no. objects per object type

  This setting enables you to determine the maximum number of objects per object type that the system reserves for translation in your worklist. The standard value is 25. You can increase the value to a maximum of 99.

• Worklist number

  The worklist number is used to keep different translation projects separate from each other in the same system. If there is more than one translation project in the system in which you translate, ask your translation coordinator for the correct worklist number. The default setting is 0001.

In addition to the worklist settings, you can also enter settings for the translation area and language direction so that you do not have to maintain these values every time you call up a worklist.
