Configuring Principal PropagationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use this function to create the technical prerequisites for principal propagation that were created during installation in the current client <client>.

These are:

  • The system user PIPPUSER with role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER.
  • RFC destination SAPXIPP<client> with the user PIPPUSER as logon user

Principal propagation ensures that the user context in message processing remains the same across all asynchronous boundaries, and when message processing is restarted.

Procedure
  1. In the Integration Engine menu, choose Configuration → Configure Principal Propagation.
  2. Choose Create new.
Result

The technical prerequisites for principal propagation are first deleted and then recreated.

You also have to perform some additional configuration steps .
