In the Hierarchy view, you can view the archive hierarchy for all the systems for which archiving sets exist, even if no data has been archived yet. This function allows you to get an overview of the archiving sessions that have been started in your system and their current status. You can also view further details about each session and depending on the status of the archiving session branch to functions for writing or creating collections, for example, directly from within this Hierarchy view.
You can view archiving sessions always for one system at a time. Under SAP NetWeaver Systems choose the system for which you want to view the archiving session details.
Overview of Archiving Sessions
The archive hierarchy is displayed in the Overview of Archiving Sessions frame. For each home collection you can drill down into the different sub collections to view the archiving sessions. Each archiving session shows its current status. The different statuses are explained under Legend:
Completed archiving session: the write and delete phases have been completed.
Incomplete archiving session: the write phase has been completed, but the delete phase has not yet been started
Failed archiving session: the write session was terminated before it could be completed, due to an error or an interruption
Running archiving session: the write or delete phase is currently running
Scheduled archiving session: the write session has been scheduled (for more information on scheduling, see Write )
