Comparing Metadata with the Reference System
You have the option of comparing metadata that has been loaded to the Integration Server with the current metadata from the SAP reference system that the metadata comes from.
This allows you to identify inconsistencies and delete out-of-date metadata from the Integration Server and reload it from the SAP reference system.
- Call transaction ABAP: Execute Program (SA38), enter IDX_CHECK_METADATA as the Program, and choose Execute.
- If you want to compare metadata, select the relevant port and basis type.
You can also select the enhancement (customer enhancement structure for an SAP structure) for the comparison.
- Enter the comparison port that the data is to be loaded from the SAP reference system for.
The default is SAPSUPPORT.
If data has already been loaded for the comparison port under the default name, you must change the name to avoid data losses.
If the metadata comparison finds differences, the system displays the following:

- You can delete the metadata for the port and basis type you selected previously (Delete All Port Metadata (
)) This data is automatically reloaded from the reference system if it is required.
The data of the comparison port is also deleted.
- The data for the comparison port is deleted when you leave the transaction.
