Performing the Optional Configuration Steps

Depending on the KMC data archiving scenario you want to implement, you might need to perform the following additional configuration steps:

• If you want the system to make use of data collected by the Last Access service, you need to configure the service. For more information, see: Configuring the Last Access Service .

• If your archiving scenario requires it, you can modify the default configuration of the KM resource archiving object. For more information, see: Configuring the Default Resource Archiving Object .

• You can optionally modify the system-defined retention period used in case the content administrator has not specified a custom retention period when marking the object for archiving. For more information, see: Configuring the Archiving Retention Service .

• You can optionally configure the system to display the archiving status of the resources in the search results. For more information, see: Displaying the Archiving Status in the Search Results .
