Process Modeling Approaches

Process modeling is based on different approaches, each having its pros and cons. These approaches are used depending on the objectives the process modeler has, that is to say, whether an overall strategic model or a detailed tactical model is in focus. The process composer of SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management allows you to use each of the following approaches to model a process, depending on your business needs:

• Top-Down Approach

• Bottom-Up Approach

• Inside-Out Approach
