Configuring Development Server Service and SDIC Service Properties

You use this procedure to set up the properties of the Development Server service and SDIC service using a configuration wizard. The configuration itself consists of a number of steps, which the configuration wizard automatically executes. You only need to trigger the execution process and enter certain parameter values when prompted to do so.

The System Landscape Directory (SLD) is set up. For more information, see Automated Configuration for SLD .

1. To start the Configuration Wizard, start SAP NetWeaver Administrator and log on as an administrator.

2. Choose  Configuration Management  Scenarios  Configuration Wizard. 

3. Select the Connect Visual Composer Designtime with NW Development Infrastructure configuration task.

4. Choose Execute and follow the steps of the wizard.

   The steps are executed one after the other. You can check the process status for each step. If an error occurs, you have the following options:

   • You can skip the current step.

   • You can cancel and restart the process.

   • You can retry the current step.

   Once all steps have been executed, you receive a corresponding message. You can view a log for each step.
