Deleting Device GroupsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

You can delete a device group that you no longer need, together with its user agent definitions.

Caution

Make sure that you are not using the device group in a rule collection; otherwise the related rules will no longer work.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step Portal Display Next navigation step Device Group Manager End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Device Groups area of the Device Group Manager, select the device group that you want to delete, and then choose Delete .
  3. In the displayed message box, choose Delete . The selected device group and its user agent definitions are deleted.
    Note

    If the device group is currently used in a rule collection, a message is displayed recommending you to first modify the rule collection. Choose Cancel to cancel the delete process, or choose Delete to go ahead and delete the device group even though it is in use in a rule collection.

  4. Choose Save .
