Data transfer process |
Enhanced |
If you are using SAP HANA database, data changes on the database are initially saved in a delta index. You can use the Trigger Database Merge setting on the Update tab page in the data transfer process to stipulate that the data is transferred to the main index once the request has been processed. If this is not advisable for whatever reason (load distribution for example), you can integrate the database merge into a process chain using the new process type Trigger for Database Merge. More information: Triggering a Database Merge |
DB Connect |
Enhanced |
You can use DB Connect to replicate data (from any schema) in the SAP HANA database to BW (and therefore in the BW schema) and continue editing the data in BW. More information: Transferring Data Using DB Connect |

Easy Query |
New |
Easy queries allow external access to queries (for more information, see the overview in Open Analysis Interfaces). To activate an existing query for external access, it must be generated as an easy query. You can do this by selecting the By Easy Query option in the query properties on the Advanced tab page for the query in question in BEx Query Designer (see Query Properties). When you save, the system starts saving the easy query in the background. The system creates the corresponding SOA configuration profile for the generated easy query based on the SOA standard settings. You can then use the easy query as a SOAP service. You can obtain an overview - and manage - your easy queries in the Easy Query Manager transaction (EQMANAGER) in BW (see Managing Easy Queries). |
Set Planning Function Type Key Figure Values |
New |
You can use function type Set Key Figure Values to set values for key figures and distribute them according to reference data (see Setting Key Figure Values). |
