You have opened the Process Development perspective in the SAP NetWeaverDeveloper Studio and have expanded your project in the Project Explorer view.
You have created a task.
A completion deadline is the deadline before which the task must be completed. By default the task has no completion deadline. You can define a default completion deadline by defining an offset related to the task activation time or by using an expression to evaluate absolute time of type xsd:dateTime.
You have an option to set the task to an error state when the completion deadline is reached.
The task editor opens.
Select the Use an offset relative to the task activation time radio button.
Enter a value that is greater than 0 in the Offset field.
Select a period of time from the dropdown menu.
The value in the Offset field and the period of time are added to the task activation time to form the default completion deadline.
Select the Use an expression radio button.
Choose the Edit... pushbutton.
The expression editor opens.
Specify an expression. For more information, see Creating Expressions .
Choose the OK pushbutton.
You have defined a default completion deadline for the task. You can select the Raise critical exception when deadline is reached checkbox if you want to raise a critical exception when the task has not been completed before the deadline is reached.
