Procedure

This option allows you to create, edit, view, and delete service providers.

Service providers are automatically configured when the Collaboration is installed or a new SCF Connector is loaded into the portal.

Select the link Service Providers (n).

Note

n  is the current number of service providers configured, and does not appear, when none are configured.  Upon installation, the default is n = 2, meaning that two service providers are configured: SAP's RTC and WebEx.

The screen shows a table labeled Service Providers at the top, and buttons in a list at the bottom, labeled New, Duplicate, Edit, View, and Delete.  The column labels are:

  • Unique ID  ‑ the unique identifiers for the listed service providers.
  • Requires User Mapping - user mapping is required for a service provider, if no SSO (Single Sign On) solution exists, such as when WebEx is a service provider.  See Configuring User Mapping .
  • Invitation Dispatchers - the way the invitations to Synchronous Collaboration Framework (SCF) sessions (like for example WebEx) are dispatched.
  • Additional parameters - additional parameters as required by the provider.
    Note

If tracking codes are required for WebEx, they should be entered in the following form: TC07=test&TC08=abc&TC09=123.

  • Name of the Portal Component for the Connector- the name that associates the SCF EAR file with the connector.
  • URL - the location of the service provider.  This location must be the complete path of the service provider's server.
  •

All of the above properties are configured by default.  Only the URL property must be configured.

See section, Edit an Existing Service Provider, for further details.

Adding a New Service Provider

  1. To add a new service provider, select the New button.

The New "Service Providers" panel appears.

  2. Enter information into the text fields as required to define the new service provider.
    • Unique ID:  The entry in this field must be a short, but unique identifier of the service provider.
      Tip

      RTC

SAP's Real Time Collaboration. It is a default service provider which provides the service type, Application Sharing.

      WebEx

A web-based online communication service that integrates voice, video and data.  It is provided by WebEx Communications, Inc.

    • Requires User Mapping.  One of two values are possible: True or False.

The default is False, indicating that no user mapping is required. Choose True if user mapping is required.

      Tip

True is set for the WebEx service provider, because mapping of the user's log-in ID and password are required by the user's WebEx account.

      Note

One system is required for each service provider that requires user mapping.  If the system already exists, another must not be created.

    • Invitation Dispatchers - configure the dispatch of invitations to SCF sessions.
    • Additional parameters. Additional parameters as required by the provider.
      Note

If tracking codes are required for WebEx, they should be entered in the following form: TC07=test&TC08=abc&TC09=123.

    • Name of the Portal Component for the Connector: This field holds the name of the portal component that is an SCF connector.
      Tip

      com.sap.netweaver.coll.appl.sync.RTCConnector

      com.sap.netweaver.coll.appl.sync.WebexConnector

    • URL: This field holds the location of the service provider.  This must be the complete path.
      Tip

      https://sapportalseval.webex.com
