Adding a Precondition

You can set rules (from the current ruleset or a reusable ruleset) as preconditions to another rule. When you set a precondition, the existing rule gets fired only when the precondition is satisfied.

1. From the Overview of Project "<project-name>" section, select the required ruleset, flow ruleset node, or reusable ruleset.

2. Choose Open .

3. From the Rules section, select the rule to which you want to add a precondition.

4. Choose Open .

5. In the rule editor that appears, choose Add precondition .

6. From the drop down menu, perform one of the following as required:

   • If you want to set the rule from the current ruleset as the precondition, select a rule name.

   • If you want to set a rule of a reusable ruleset as the precondition, proceed as follows:

     1. Select the Set Reusable Rule option.

     2. From the dialog box that appears, select the required reusable rule.

     3. Choose Apply .
