Uninstalling Business PackagesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

There is no application or tool for uninstalling a business package. You must work through the procedure manual. The following is the recommended procedure.

Procedure
  1. Delete the role assignment to users.

    For example, you might delete the assignments to the Everyone group, as follows.

    1. Start of the navigation path User Administration Next navigation step Roles End of the navigation path

    2. Search for the Everyone group.

    3. Edit the group properties.

      Choose the com.sap.km.ContentManager role.

    4. Choose Remove .

    5. Remove any other role assignments from the business packages by repeating steps 2 to 4.

  2. Delete the working folder.

  3. Delete the iViews in the business package.

    For example, you might delete the folders for the SAP CRM 4.0 60.2 business package by deleting all CRM-specific folders and their contents in Start of the navigation path Content migrated Next navigation step EP 5.0 Next navigation step iViews End of the navigation path:

    • Channel Management

    • Common

    • E-Selling

    • Indirect Sales

    • Interaction Center

    • Marketing

    • Portal Administration

    • Sales

    • Service

  4. Delete the roles in the Roles folder.

    In the CRM example, you would delete the roles in the CRM business package.

    Note

    Do not delete the roles Content Manager and KM Administration !

  5. Delete the pages in the Pages folder.

    In the CRM example, you would delete the pages in the CRM business package.

    Note

    Do not delete the KM-specific pages com.sap.km *!

  6. Delete the worksets in the Worksets folder.

    In our example, you would delete the worksets in the CRM business package.

    Note

    Do not delete the KM-specific worksets com.sap.km *!

  7. Delete the templates in the Templates folder.

    In our example, you would delete the templates in the CRM business package.

    Note

    Do not delete the KM-specific templates com.sap.km *!

  8. Delete the systems in the Systems folder.

    In our example, you would delete the systems in the CRM business package, by navigating to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step System Configuration Next navigation step System End of the navigation path .

Beware that the duration of the uninstallation process depends on the business package and structure size, and may take some time to complete.
