Configuration objects

The following configuration objects delivered by SAP are relevant for configuring the Who's Who iView:

      Note

You can use indexable UME properties as a search criterion in the Who's Who iView. To define a UME property (technical name begins with ume) as a search criterion, call up the UME property for editing and select the Indexable flag.

  • Layout sets

Function Description

Creating the UME index

  1. In the portal, choose System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Index Administration.
  2. Choose Create.
  3. Enter the following index properties:
    • ID: ume This ID is required because it is already entered in the properties of the Who's Who iView. If you assign a different ID; you must also change the entry in the iView properties.
    • Service: Trex Search
  4. To proceed, choose Create Index.
  5. Choose Data Sources.
  6. Choose Add...
  7. Click ume. (The path specified is now Root > ume.)
  8. Select users. (The path specified is now Root > ume > users.)
  9. Choose Save.

Make sure that the TREX search index is set exclusively for UME users, as described in step 8. For security reasons, you should not create the search index for any other UME data sources, for example, UME groups. In this way, you exclude the possibility of displaying sensitive data, such as the member groups of private rooms.

Optional: Defining the columns in the results list

The columns in the results list are defined in the Collection List Renderer Settings (see above).

To change the definition of the results list, you can enter further UME properties in the Displayed Properties field of the List Renderer in question or delete existing entries there. The list of entries is separated with commas.

Optional: Editing the iView properties
