Viewing Rules Log InformationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

Business rules execution logs information about the execution of rules, decision tables, and rule flows. An administrator can view these logs based on events and date ranges.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator using the link http://<servername>:<port>/nwa .
  2. Choose the Problem Management tab.

    The Problem Management tab page opens.

  3. Choose Processes and Tasks .
  4. In the Processes and Tasks page that opens, choose Rules Business Logs .

    The Rules Business Logs: Ruleset Execution Log page opens.

  5. Check the rules log information. You can either check the logs using the During field or Find by Creation Timestamp field.
    • In the During field, choose the duration for which you want to view the log entry .

      You can view the log entry for the following duration:

      • Last One Hour

      • Last 24 Hours

      • Last 3 Days

      • Last 7 Days

    • Use the Find by Creation Timestamp option to view the business logs between date and time ranges.

      1. Select the date and time from which you want to start viewing the business logs.

        1. Choose Calendar in the Date & Time From/To: field.

        2. In the calendar that appears, choose the date from which you want to start viewing the business logs.

        3. Choose the time from the drop down menu.

      2. Select the date and time to which you want to view the business logs.

        2. In the calendar that appears, choose the date to which you want to .

        3. Choose the time from the drop down menu.

        Note

        You can also use the advanced option to view the log entry.

        1. Choose the Advanced button.

          The Advanced section opens.

        2. Choose the event type from the drop down menu.

        3. Enter the rule invocation id.

        4. Enter the time duration.

        5. Choose Go .

      3. Choose Go .

        The log entries appear in the table.
