When you create a subscription, you can specify how often you want yourself or others to be informed about changes to documents.
Polling scheduler tasks are defined in the standard configuration for every interval.
Overview of Polling Scheduler Tasks

DailySubscriptions |
The subscribed document is checked for changes daily. |

The subscribed document is checked for changes weekly. |
MonthlySubscriptions |
The subscribed document is checked for changes monthly. |
Each of these tasks causes the subscription service to check the documents belonging to it at the time specified. If a document has changed, a notification is sent.
A subscription that informs you about every change to a document does not need its own polling scheduling task, as it reacts directly to repository events.
The subscription service is activated.
