Defining KM Content for ArchivingLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

As a content administrator, you define which Knowledge Management (KM) resources are relevant for archiving. Using the Mark KM Resources for Archiving report, you can configure the archiving criteria and mark for archiving the group of resources that match the criteria automatically. In addition, you can mark single KM resources for archiving manually. For example, you can mark for archiving a folder, or individual documents. All resources in status Marked for Archiving are automatically archived after the next run of the Trigger Archiving report. Both when marking groups or individual KM resources automatically and when marking single KM resources manually, you can define a custom retention period for the resources that are to be archived.

Procedure

To define the KM content for archiving, you either mark for archiving the relevant KM resources automatically, or else you mark them manually. If your archiving scenario requires it, you can also have a mixed approach.

Result

The system archives the KM resources that you have marked for archiving during the next run of the Trigger Archiving report.
