Running Multiple Test Cases Using Test SuiteLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

You can run multiple test cases for a ruleset simultaneously and view a consolidated test report.

Procedure

  1. In the Project Explorer view, expand the rules composer DC node.
  2. Expand the Rules Modeling node.
  3. From the context menu of Test Suites , select New Test Suite .
  4. Provide a name for the test suite.
  5. Choose Next .
  6. From the Available Test Cases section, select the required test cases. You can select multiple test cases by using the Ctrl key.
  7. Choose Select Test Cases(s).
  8. Choose Finish .
    Note

    If you want to edit a test case that you have added, you can do so by navigating to the test case editor:

    1. Select the required test case from the table.

    2. Choose Open .

  9. To check if all the added test cases in the test suite are still valid and existing, choose Validate Test Suite.
  10. If there are any validation errors (for example, due to renaming or deletion of a test case), rectify the errors.
  11. To run all the test cases added to the test suite, choose Run Test Suite.

    The system generates the test results and provides you with the link to the test suite report in the Rules Testing Console tab page. This report provides you an overview of the test cases executed. For example, number of test cases executed and number of test cases passed, failed, or in error status. From this report you can also access the test case report to view the execution details of the independent test cases.
