Managing Pictograms in the Web Resource RepositoryLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Applications such as workset maps, service maps, and other custom applications use pictograms to display an icon next to objects in the application. In addition to the pictograms provided with the portal, you can also add your own pictograms and other custom images using the Web Resource Repository . After you add images to the Pictograms folder in the Web Resource Repository , you can access these images from the Pictogram property of portal objects.

Procedure

Use the following properties in SAP NetWeaver Administrator to manage the pictograms in the Web Resource Repository . For information about accessing services in SAP NetWeaver Administrator, see Accessing Portal Services in SAP NetWeaver Administrator .

  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator, go to the Application Modules page.

  2. In the Module List area, select com.sap.portal.navigation.mimeservice .

  3. In the Web Module Details area, select the navigation_mime_repository component.

  4. In the Full Details area, set the following properties:

    • Path to Web Resource Repository folder where pictograms are stored : specify the name of a Web Resource Repository folder.

    • Restore SAP pictograms on service start : if you have made changes to the pictograms in the Web Resource Repository , you can restore the pictograms provided by SAP by setting this property to true .
