Open Analysis Interfaces

New

The test environment for multidimensional expressions (MDX) in the BW system (transaction MDXTEST) allows developers of MDX-based SAP applications or MDX client tools and SAP Support to create execute and check MDX statements. The MDX test environment is fully integrated into the MDX environment of the analytic server.

Data Federator Interface

New

A number of interfaces of the Analytic Server are available to connect third-party front-end tools. This includes the relational Data Federator interface as well as the known multidimensional interfaces OLE DB for OLAP (ODBO), OLAP BAPI (Business Application Programming interface) and XML for Analysis (XML/A).
