Data Transfer with SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (New)Locate this document in the navigation structure

The integration of SAP NetWeaver BW and the SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SAP LT Replication Server) allows real-time replication of data in BW and provides the following options:

  • You can use the SAP LT Replication Server for delta procedures for tables that do not contain any fields that are capable of producing delta figures. This makes it possible to use delta procedures for extractors that do not have delta logic.

  • The trigger-based replication approach allows you to significantly reduce the administrative load if you have frequent master data updates.

Note that complex extractors should generally not be replaced by replication with the SAP LT Replication Server.

Two interfaces are available for data transfer: Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) and Web Service. If you transfer data using the ODP, the ODP infrastructure services of the Persistent Staging Area (PSA) takes over. This means that the operational delta queue is used. You can use this queue to monitor the data transfer and an optional setting in the data transfer process allows you to decide whether to load data into the PSA (InfoPackage).
