Creating New AS Java Technical Systems

Choose  Home  Technical Systems .

Choose New Technical System . The Technical System Wizard appears.

Select the AS Java radio button. The appropriate sequence of steps is loaded.

Choose Next to go to the General step.

If the AS Java technical system is part of a dual-stack system, from the AS ABAP dropdown box, select the AS ABAP technical system for the AS Java. If the AS Java technical system is a standalone AS Java system, select None (Standalone AS Java) .

Enter system details.

Choose Next to go to the Instances step.

If you want to define new instances, choose Add New Instance and enter instance details.

If you want to define new server nodes:

1. Select an instance from the Instance List .

2. In the Server Nodes group box, choose Add New Server Node and enter server node details.

If you want to define new ports

1. Select an instance from the Instance List .

2. In the Ports group box, choose Add New Port and enter port details.

Choose Next to go to the Ports step.

If you want to define central instance ports, for each port, enter a port number and select a protocol.

Choose Next to go to the Installed Software step.

Select installed software products from the Installed Products list by selecting the Installed indicator.

All software components that are part of the selected software products appear in Installed Software Components .

Select installed software components from the Installed Software Components list by selecting the Installed indicator.

Choose Finish .
