For system management and administration you mainly use the following tools:

Administration Tools

The following tasks apply:

• Starting and stopping
  1. Start your SAP NetWeaver Administrator and choose Operation Management → Systems → Start & Stop.
  2. Select the application com.sap.xi.repository and start or stop the required instance.

• Backup and restore

  To back up and restore your ES Repository, use the backup and restore mechanisms of the database that you are using. More information:

• Periodic tasks

  To be able to develop ES Repository content, you first have to import the required software component versions into your ES Repository.
