Connecting to the System Landscape DirectoryLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You perform this step to establish a connection to the System Landscape Directory (SLD). You use the SLD to create software components and software component versions, which you can then import into your ES Repository.

Procedure

Perform the following steps:

  1. On the host of your SLD server, start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator and choose Operation Management → Users and Access → Identity Management.
  2. Create the user ESRSLD<SID> as a technical user and assign the roles SAP_XI_IR_SERV_USER and SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR.
  3. On the host where your ES Repository is running, access the ES Repository system properties as described under Additional Manual Configuration .
    Note

If your ES Repository is connected to an SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) system, maintain the connection properties on the PI system to ensure a consistent state of the connection data. Your ES Repository then checks the connection properties in the exchange profile of the PI system.

  4. Search for the following properties:
    • com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name
    • com.sap.aii.connect.cr.httpport
  5. Specify the host name and HTTP port of the SLD to be used with the ES Repository.
  6. Search for the following properties:
    • com.sap.aii.repository.serviceuser.name
    • com.sap.aii.repository.serviceuser.pwd
  7. Specify the user ESRSLD<SID> and password for accessing the SLD.
    Note

Changes to this user must always be done in both the ES Repository and the SLD.

  8. Save your entries.
