Function documentationConfigure Dashboard Connector

 

You use this function to download and configure the Dashboard Connector into SAP Business Objects Dashboards to connect to an SAP MII system. The dashboard connector in SAP MII allows MII queries and tags to be accessed in the dashboards. Also, it supports all the query templates and Plant Information Catalog entries available in SAP MII.

Prerequisites

You have downloaded DashboardConnector.zip to your local system from Start of the navigation path Content Development Next navigation step Tools and Archives Next navigation step Business Objects Dashboard Connector. End of the navigation path Extract and save the connector Dashboardconnector.xlx to your local system.

Activities

To configure the Dashboard connector to SAP MII in your SAP Business Objects Dashboards component, do the following:

  1. From the Dashboard 4.0 screen, choose Start Page from the context menu.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path File Next navigation step Manage Add-Ons. End of the navigation path

    The Add-On Manager screen appears.

  3. Choose Install Add-On.

    The File Manager screen of your local desktop appears.

  4. Select DashboardConnector.xlx from your local system and choose OK.
