Catalog Query

You use the Catalog Query in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) to create templates that access the Plant Information Catalog connectors and Virtual Catalog connectors and provide the following data:

Historical (Time series) values
GroupList
TagList
HistoryEvent
ModeList
RetrieveProperties
Statistics
PICAnalysis

Activities

To create a catalog query, do the following:

On the SAP MII Workbench, choose File New CatalogQuery.
The DataSource screen of the Plant Information Catalog query appears.
Select one or more servers from the Available Servers field.
Choose a mode from the Modes field.

Note
PICAnalysis mode is not supported for multiple server selection.

In the Template Categories tab choose:
- Plant Information Catalog Query Details: The Plant Information Catalog Query Details screen appears. See Activities section of Plant Information Catalog Query Details.
- Parameters: For more information, see Use Parameters in Expressions of PIC Analysis Query Reports.
  This screen is available only for PIC analysis query reports.
- Plant KPI Dimension Query Details: To assign a category and properties to a tag in PIC node, see the Activities section of Plant KPI Dimension Query Details
- Retrieve Properties: For more information on retrieve properties, see Retrieve Properties.

You must save the query on the Catalog tab in the appropriate project and folder.
