Function documentationRun Limit Alarm

Run limit alarms represent multiple points either all above or all below the center line on the chart.

For alarm rule 2, the limit and length values are used for both the upper and lower charts and for both the upper and lower regions of the charts. The data points on the chart are verified against the center line of the chart. For alarm rule 2, an alarm is triggered when there are <Limit> number of data points in the <Length> data point string that are either all above or all below the center line.

You can also use alarm rules, 24, 25, 26, or 27 to specify the limits and lengths for upper and lower charts and also for upper and lower regions of upper and lower charts.

Example

If you define alarm rule 24 with limit as 7 and length as 8, the rule is violated when 7 or more points in a string of 8 adjacent points are either above or below the center line of the upper chart. In the below illustration, 7 points are above the center line and are marked as a crule violation.
