Tag Query Details and Values
You use the Tag Query Details
screen in the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) Workbench to select tags to display in a query and specify data retrieval parameters that affect the behavior of historical and statistical queries.
Note
If the Tag query mode is ModeList
, the Tag Query Details
screen is not enabled.
Some tag servers accept tag write requests. The Values
screen lists the tags that are part of the write query and allows you to enter test or default values that should be written for each tag.
For servers that support tag groups, the Available Groups
list box displays groups of tags in a tree format. When you select a tag group name, the Available Tags
list box displays the tag names contained in the selected tag group. For servers that do not support tag groups, the Available Tags
list box displays all available tags.
To filter the available tags, you can enter a wildcard pattern in the Tag Selection Mask
field and click Apply
. This parameter provides a filter expression that can be used to further refine the list of items returned from a namespace query or selected in a Tag query. The pattern matching is identical to SQL "LIKE" expressions. For more details on wildcard patterns in the Mask field, see the Mask Expressions under Tag Query Parameters.
You can add tags to the Selected Tags
list using the arrow buttons. You can also enter a tag name in the field below the Selected Tags
list and click Add
.
You can select the Use Group or Mask for Tag Selection
checkbox to use the group or mask in the query. If the checkbox is not selected, the system filters the list of available tags. For more information about groups and masks, see Connector Modes.
When you are running a history query, you can use the Resolution
parameter to provide retrieval resolution for interpolated values.
When you are running a statistics query, you can use the TotalizerFactor
parameter as a conversion factor for the TOT method.
Note
The behavior of the Resolution
and Totalizer
Factor
parameters are connector-specific. For more information, see the connector documentation.
