You use a display template to configure a set of properties that present query data in a graphical format. The SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) display template types are as follows:

Features

You can create default display templates for your project for the following:

  • iGrid

  • iChart

  • iSPCChart

  • iBrowser

  • iTicker

  • i5Chart

  • i5Grid

The default templates are saved to the <Project>/Meta-Inf/DefaultTemplates folder. If you have the XMII_ProjectManagement action assigned to you, you can set a display template as a default and edit the default templates on the Meta-Inf tab. You can change the parameter values that you configured in the template in your individual objects. For details, see:

You can display applets as SAP UI5 charts but the reverse is not feasible.

Activities

To work with display templates, do the following:

  1. On the SAP MII administration menu, choose Start of the navigation path Content Development Next navigation step Workbench. End of the navigation path

    The SAP MII Workbench screen appears.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Choose Start of the navigation path File Next navigation step New End of the navigation path to display the template types you can create.

    • Select an existing display template file and choose Start of the navigation path File Next navigation step Open. End of the navigation path

  3. To display the template, choose Execute.

    The Generate Sample screen appears.

  4. Choose SAP UI5 in the Visualization Type to display your applets as SAP UI5 charts.

    Note Note

    You cannot display SAP UI5 charts as applets. The field Visualization Type does not appear when you execute i5Charts.

To properly view your display templates, you must set the following:

  • User interface resolution display to a minimum of 1024x768.

  • System font to a small font size.
