You can use the Catalog QueryDetails to build the Catalog Query. This screen is available for the following modes:

  • Current

  • History

  • HistoryEvent

  • Statistics

Features

On the Hierarchy tab, you can select only the tags from the groups to execute the query. The PIC Tree displays the groups and the tags in tree view. You can select the tags from the groups.

You can also select the tags dynamically using SelectedTags(tagname1, tagname2,tagname3). For more details on other parameters, see Query Parameters.

On the Extended tab, you have to select the PCo server. The Extended tab contains the list of secondaries and metadata that are available for the tags you selected on the Hierarchy tab.

Activities

To create a catalog query, do the following:

  1. On the SAP MII Workbench, choose   File   New   CatalogQuery.  

    The DataSource screen of the PIC query appears.

  2. Select any server from the Available Servers field.

  3. Choose a mode from the Modes field.

  4. From the Template Categories tab, choose Catalog Query Details..

    The Catalog Query Details screen appears.

  5. Choose the server from Available Servers column.

    The PIC Tree column displays the tags and the groups available in the Plant Catalog Information screen.

  6. Select the tags from the groups and move to Selected Tags column.

  7. You can add/delete/replace the tags by choosing the appropriate buttons from Selected Tags column.

    Also, you can choose and apply delimiters in the Namespace Delimiter column.

  8. Choose Save.

To view and select the secondaries and metadata of tags, select a PCo server from the Extended tab.
