You use this function when you use an SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) iChart display template with SQL and alarm queries. You must configure data mapping properties so the columns returned from the query can be linked to other elements (such as a legend, descriptions, or data values) in the chart.
Based on the entered query template, the system displays the associated column names.
The following table lists the iChart data mapping properties:
Property Name | Parameter Name | Data Type | Use |
Value Columns | ValueColumns | String List | Define which data columns in a query are used as values to plot the chart. |
Label Columns | LabelColumns | String List | Define which data columns in a query are used to create virtual tag names when the system renders the chart. These parameters are required when you are using a SQL or alarm query. |
Description Columns | DescriptionColumns | StringList | Define which data columns in a query are used to create virtual tag descriptions when the system renders the chart. These parameters are required when you are using a SQL or alarm query. |
Data Link Columns | DatalinkColumns | StringList | Define which data columns in a query are used to create datalink items for items in the legend. You can associate a column value like a part code so you can link to other applets. The first mapped datalink column is also used as quick info text. |
Include Value in Label | IncludeValueInLabel | Boolean | Select this checkbox to merge the value column names with the LabelColumn column names when you generate the virtual tag names. |
On the Data Mapping screen in the SAP MII Workbench, you can define which column values to chart and which to use when constructing the following:
Virtual tag names
Virtual tag descriptions
Data point labels
Other data from the query that is associated with a tag name
You can change these parameter values in individual applets through scripting.
