Transfer of Routing from SAP ME to SAP ERP
This function enables you to create routing data in SAP ME and transfer it to SAP ERP, which creates corresponding routing and operation records in SAP ERP.
You have sent material master records from SAP ERP to SAP ME.
You have set the following SAP ME system rules as follows:
ERP Integration Active
to true
Enable Replication of ME Routing to ERP
to Yes
or Yes with Change Management
Note
When the Enable Replication of ME Routing to ERP
system rule is set to Yes
or Yes, with Change Management
, the Is Last Routing Step
checkbox is selected automatically for the last routing step with defined ERP-related settings. This configuration overrides any manual setting of the Is Last Routing Step
checkbox.
Ignore Routing Update
to true
You have set up ALE communication to create and transmit LOIPRO03
IDocs for production order and LOIPLO02
IDocs for planned order (see Customizing for ALE for Communication with SAP ME).
You have reviewed and implemented the following SAP Notes or applied the corresponding support packages:
You create and release a routing in SAP ME.
You select Effective Start Date
for routing (see Routing Maintenance).
You can identify the ERP reporting step by selecting ERP Control Key
, ERP Work Center
, and Reporting Step
. If the user does not enter a reporting step ID, the system automatically generates it for the routing steps that contain an ERP control key (see Routing Step Properties).
You choose the status as Releasable
or Frozen
, select Current Version
, and save the routing.
You assign the routing to a material (see Material Maintenance).
You enter a planned routing in Material Maintenance
to assign the routing to a material. If you do not enter the routing version field, the material is implicitly assigned to the current version of the routing.
The assigned routing is transferred to SAP ERP upon saving the material.
SAPMEINT creates the corresponding routing master record or a new version of the existing routing record in SAP ERP.
Example
User Actions in SAP ME | System Actions when the system rule | |
|---|---|---|
|
| |
You assign a material to the routing and save the record. For example,
| SAP ME creates a change number and transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with a group counter for the routing. For example,
Material
Since you have not entered the routing version field, the material is assigned to the current version of the routing. End of the note. | SAP ME transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with a group counter for the routing. For example,
Material
SAP ME does not create a change number. End of the note. |
You assign another material to the same routing and save the record. For example,
| SAP ME creates a change number and transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with a group counter for the routing. For example,
Material
A new group is created for every material assignment. End of the note. | SAP ME transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with the same group counter for the routing. For example,
Material
A new group is created for every material assignment. End of the note. |
You create and release a new version of the routing For example,
| SAP ME creates a new change number and transfers the new version of routing SAP ERP updates the same group counter for the new version of routing. For example,
Material
Since you have not entered the routing version field for the material When change number is used, the same group counter is updated. End of the note. | SAP ME transfers the routing SAP ERP creates a new group counter for the new version of routing. For example,
Material
SAP ME does not create a change number and SAP ERP increments the group counter for the new version of the routing. Since you have not entered the routing version field for the material When change number is not used for every new version of routing, a new group counter is created. End of the note. |
You assign another material to the new version of the routing and save the record. For example,
| SAP ME creates a new change number and transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with a group counter for the routing. For example,
Material | SAP ME transfers routing SAP ERP creates a new group with the same group counter. For example,
Material |
Note that for every unique combination of routing and material, a new group is created in SAP ERP.
You allocate a component to the routing in SAP ERP (see Allocating a Component to an Operation).
You create and release a production order in SAP ERP using the routing exported from SAP ME.
SAPMEINT creates the Production
shop order based on the data received from SAP ERP and the routing created in SAP ME.
The routing and routing version that was exported from SAP ME will be updated as the planned routing for the shop order.
If a BOM is not available, it will be created and updated as the planned BOM for the shop order.
