You can use this activity to schedule background processes for the following features:

  • Archiving (see Archiving)

  • Auto Close Message by the System

    Automatically changes the status of messages to Closed as defined in Message Type Maintenance (the Use Auto Close Interval checkbox is selected and the time frame is defined for the message type. For more information, see Message Type Maintenance)

  • Auto Delete Old XSRF Tokens (AUTO_DELETE_XSRF)

    Automatically deletes the old tokens that were generated to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks.

  • Certification Expiration Check (see Certification)

Procedure

  1. On the Background Process Execution screen, activate the background process that you want to run.

  2. Specify how often the process must run as follows:

    • Every x Minutes: Runs the process every x minutes

    • Hourly: Runs the process at the beginning of every hour

    • Daily: Runs the process every day (at a given time of the day)

    • Weekly - day of the week: Runs the process every week (on the given day at the given time). Choose the day of the week.

  3. Enter the time of the day to run the process.

    If you run the process Every x Minutes, enter the interval between the runs.

  4. Save your entries.
