You can use the ELAPSED_TIME_CHECK hook point activity to ensure that each SFC number has been Active for the Required Time In Process set on the routing step. The Required Time In Process set at the routing step defaults from the value set in Operation Maintenance (in minutes). For more information, see Routing Step Properties.

If the elapsed time is less than the required process time, the system does not allow an operator to complete the SFC number (see POD Button Activities).

If an SFC number is restarted at an operation as a result of Sign Off, SFC Step Status Change, or after a nonconformance, the system sets the operation's Start date and time for the SFC number to the current date and time.

This activity is used at the operation or routing step level with the PRE_COMPLETE and PRE_BATCH_COMPLETE hook points.
